We stayed for a quiet fall getaway and it was absolutely perfect. The fall colours around Whitestone Lake were incredible and the hiking trails nearby were peaceful and scenic.

We spent our mornings walking along the trails and our afternoons exploring the lake by boat. In the evenings we visited a couple of nearby restaurants and then came back to enjoy the quiet and the stars over the lake.

If you’re looking for a relaxing cottage escape with beautiful scenery, this is a wonderful place to stay.

Our winter stay at Whitestone Lake Cottages was fantastic. The area has great snowmobiling trails and we were able to ride directly to several scenic routes nearby. The lake was also perfect for ice fishing, and we spent a few afternoons out on the ice enjoying the quiet winter landscape. One morning we went snowshoeing along some local trails which was a great way to explore the forest in the winter. After a day outside it was wonderful to return to the warm cottage and relax by the wood stove fire. It was a true winter getaway and we would highly recommend it for anyone looking to enjoy snowmobiling, ice fishing, and the beauty of northern Ontario in the winter.

We booked the cottage mainly for fishing and it did not disappoint. Whitestone Lake is fantastic for bass fishing and we had success every day. Being able to walk down to the dock and cast a line in the evening was a huge bonus.

During the day we explored the lake by boat and stopped for a swim in several quiet bays. The area also has some nice walking trails which were great for a morning stroll before heading out on the water.

The cottage itself was clean, comfortable, and very relaxing. It was exactly the kind of peaceful northern Ontario getaway we were looking for.

My family an I had a relaxing week. The swimming and boating were a blast. The kids especially enjoyed the fishing, while my husband and I enjoyed the nearby hiking trail. Will definitely be back next year!

We had an amazing week at Whitestone Lake Cottages. The kids spent most of their time swimming off the dock and exploring the shoreline, while we enjoyed relaxing on the deck and taking the boat out in the evenings. The fishing was excellent — we caught several bass right off the dock and even more out on the lake.

We also tried a couple of nearby restaurants in the Dunchurch are which were fantastic and very friendly. One afternoon we took a walk along the local hiking trails and the scenery was beautiful. This was exactly the kind of relaxing family vacation we were hoping for. We’re already planning to come back next summer.
